ICYM Urwa Unit celebrates Vanamahotsava and a day with children
Mangaluru: ICYM Urwa Unit celebrated Vanamahotsava on Saturday, 21st July 2018 in a unique way at St. Aloysius Kannada Medium School, Urwa.
Fr Jason Lobo – Assistant Parish Priest, Urwa welcomed the students and the gathering. The programme commenced with a prayer song led by the students of St. Aloysius Kannada Medium School. Fr Stany Periera – Parish Priest, Urwa Church presided and inaugurated the programme by symbolically planting a sapling in a pot and addressed the students on the importance of Vanamahotsava with an interactive session.
Fr Cyril Lobo – Resident Priest, Urwa, Headteacher – Florine Pereira and Staff of the school along with ICYM Members of Urwa Unit were present for the programme. After the inaugural programme ICYM members under the coordination of Ashwitha Dantis, conducted various innovative games for the students class wise and prizes were distributed to the winners.
