Mangaluru: Addressing the media persons during a press meet held at Mangalore Press Club, Rtn. Vinod D’souza – Chairman Rotaract Committee said, “The Rotary Club of Mangalore & Rotaract Club of SDM PG Centre for Management Studies, in association with Rotary Club of Bangalore take great pride in announcing ‘ROTOQUIZ 2017’ to be held on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at SDM PG Centre for Management Studies & Research, MG Road Mangaluru. This is the second year we are organising the same. A record number of 29 institutions and 49 teams took part in this quiz last year. Our finalist went on to win the third place at the state level held at Bangalore last year.”
“The winning team gets the opportunity to participate in the final round of 58th Ramnarayan Chellaram Annual Inter Collegiate Quiz – ROTOQUIZ-2017 at Bangalore finals on Monday the 25th of September, This is one of the longest running live college quiz shows in the world. This is organised by Rotary Club of Bangalore and Rotaract Club of Bangalore on Sunday, September 24th in Bangalore with participation from over a 100 institutions from Bangalore ” added Rtn. D’souza. Rtn. Naveen Narayan – Secretary; Rtn. Dr. Siddarth Shetty – Director Youth Services; Rtr’ Adithi Shenoy – President Rotaract SDM P.G Centre; and Prof. Prakash H.S – Staff co-ordinator SDM, were also present during the press meet.
Details of the quiz:
1. Format –Written Preliminary Round followed by Semi Finals of top performing teams. The winner of these rounds will go to Bangalore. Topics for all rounds will be General Knowledge and Awareness.
2. Teams – Maximum of two teams, of 2 students each,will represent one college. However, only one team from a college will be selected for Semi Finals, even if more qualify.
3. For whom – Open to students from Std. XII or PUC 2nd Year upwards including under graduates and post graduate students from any stream from a recognised academic institution.
4. Prizes –
