If Ananath Kumar Hegde has guts he should amend the constitution – Rizwan Arshad

Udupi: Rizwan Arshad former Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress president and present Member of Legislative Council on Tuesday December 26 challenged Union Minister Ananth Kumar Hegde that If he has guts then he should amend the constitution after which the Congress will show its capacity. He was addressing in Yuva Chaithanya youth congress convention at Kaup organised by Udupi district Youth Congress committee.

As Union minister Hegde is saying that secular people do not have the “identity of their parental blood”, adding that the Constitution needs to be amended. In the Center BJP has full majority so he does not need the support of any other party to amend the constitution of India. If he has Guts then he should do that and we will show our capacity after that.

Ananth Kumar Hegde does not know the parliamentary or political language. Hegde has not learnt the social system and added that people belonging to various religions live in India. Each and every individual in this country is an Indian, and every religion has equal rights and opportunity. He does not have this basic knowledge.

The BJP wants to divide people on religious lines. They are trying the same trick in Karnataka. We will never allow it. The youth and students are the future of the country and they have to lead the fight against these communal forces and the BJP leaders. When Paresh Mesta was murdered in Honnavar BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje and Ananth Kumar Hegde made different stories and tried to create communal unrest in the state.

Rizwan questioned Shobha Karandlaje and other BJP leaders for their silence over the Rape and Murder of a girl Danamma in Viayapura and said that the BJP MP is not raising his voice against the culprits in this case because the accused are related to the Sangh Pariwar.

BJP has no moral right to comment on the Siddaramaiah led State government that has given “scam-free governance” in the last four years, and has fulfilled a majority of the promises made in its election manifesto. People are watching all the developments very closely and will teach a befitting lesson to the BJP in coming Assembly elections, he added.

Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee working president Dinesh Gundu Rao said that BJP leaders are playing politics over dead bodies. BJP is trying to divert people’s attention by playing with their sentiments. The Congress party workers and representatives should be more active and counter this. By spreading lies that the government has done nothing, the opposition is creating a false image of the government. This is the strategy of the opposition to completely curb the system of democracy.

Siddaramaiah is a very strong leader, unlike the BJP that has no leader in Karnataka. The BJP does more of falsifying campaigns, using emotional issues to draw people to their side in the name of religion and communal tactics but the Congress’ plank is harmony and development.

BJP leaders, who looted the state’s natural resources, went to jail in various cases and brought disrepute to the state, are now making baseless allegations against Siddaramaiah. Narendra Modi led government at the centre has attained power by telling lies to the people. The government has not fulfilled any of the promises made during the elections. RSS backed by BJP knows the art of cheating people by falsehood. The Prime Minister has given nothing to the people besides being number one in lies

Commenting on the statement of the Union minister Ananath Kumar Hegde, Dinesh Gundu Rao said that our country is built on the ideals of secularism and coexistence of people of all castes, creed, race and religion. Our constitution is based on ideals, which the BJP is denigrating by allowing Hegde to make such disparaging statements. Hegde’s speeches and actions are an insult to Ambedkar who envisioned an equitable and egalitarian society. His actions and words do not befit the office of an elected representative, much less a minister, he added.

Rajya Sabha member Oscar Fernades inaugurated the convention and asked the youth congress workers to get ready for the next Assembly elections in the State. Youth congress workers should reach the voters at the booth-level he added.

District minister incharge Pramod Madhwaraj, State Food and civil supplies minister U T Khader, Kaup MLA Vinay Kumar Sorake also spoke on the occasion,

District Youth Congress president Vishwas Ameen, DK District Youth Congress president Mithun Rai, State Youth Congress president Basavana Gouda Badarli, IYC general Secretaries Shafi Parambil, Srinivas, IYS Secretary Jebi Mather, Congress leaders Gopal Bhandary, Janardhan Tonse, M A Gaphoor, G A Bava, Shyamala Bhandary, Habbib Ali, Amrith Shenoy, Youth congress leaders Vighnesh Kini, Melwin D’Souza, Vignesh Kini, Abdul Aziz, Vishwas Shetty and others were present.

Rizwaan or any other secular would know that it takes 2/3 majority to pass any bill or amendment. Right now BJP or NDA does not have that no. Nor do they have majority in Rajya Sabha. So regardless of what Mr A K Hegde says, it will bot come to frutition. On the other hand he may be BJP compromise candidate after assembley polls if Yeddi does not get support of his MLA’s. So aage aage dekhiye hota hai kya. We still remember how Ramakrishna Hegde became the CM leaving behind HD Deve Gowda and Bangarappa in 1983. Poltics us… Read more »

Rizwan is the product of shameless ‘vote bank’ politics practiced for decades by communal Congress Party. Does Rizwan believe in constitution? Does he believe in equal right? If so, did he fight for UCC so Muslim women can finally enjoy equal rights? Well, we all know the answer.

IN INDIA RELIGION HAS GOT UPPER HAND BECAUSE OUR POLITICIANS ARE ELECTED BASED ON RELIGION MERITS WHERE THERE IS NO REQUIREMENT OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATION OR ADMINISTRATION SKILLS WHATSOEVER !! ONCE YOU ARE IN A MAJORITY IN PARLIAMENT YOU CAN SAY WHATEVER YOU WANT AND IGNORE ANY KIND OF DEVELOPMENTS ! ONLY JUST DRAG THE OPPOSITION PARTY FOR THEIR WRONG DOING OF PAST TENURE OR PLAY WITH OTHER RELIGION SENTIMENTS !! THAT IS IT !!
