If BJP Leaders are Concerned of Martyrs, action Should be Taken Against Pragya Thakur – Vinayraj
Mangaluru: “In 2014, BJP held rallies in many states and districts in the country. During the Rallies, Narendra Modi and Amit Shah had assured of providing clean governance. But the BJP is fielding Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur in jail for 6 years for her involvement in the Malegaon Blast and the case is still pending in court. Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi is defending Pragya Thakur for her remarks against AST chief Hemanth Karkare which shows the BJP stand on Terrorism. If BJP is really concerned of Martyrs let them take action Sadhvi Pragya”, said the Congress spokesperson Vinayraj in a press meet held at the DCC office Mallikatta here on April 20.
Addressing the mediapersons Vinayaraj said, “AST chief Hemanth Karkare IPS was awarded the Ashok Chakra for his supreme sacrifice of fighting with the terrorists. But the remarks made by Pragya Thakur that Karkare died because of her curse itself proves that BJP and Pragya Thakur justify the 26/11 attacker Ajmal Amir Kasab. Hemanth Karkare had arrested Azmal Kasab alive and was killed in action during the 2008 Mumbai attack.”
Vinayraj further said, “Pragya Thakur has compared a martyr to Ravan and Demon by saying that it is a curse from her. When she was cursing the martyr, BJP leaders were clapping hands and justifying her statement. The BJP leaders should clarify whether policemen or soldiers who die on duty are called demons or traitors? or are they are martyrs? If the prime minister has any respect for the martyrs he should take action against Pragya Thakur.”
Vinayraj also said, “Is it possible for the BJP to fight against terrorism when the party itself gives the MP ticket to a candidate who is involved in the Malegaon blast? What can we expect from such a party? Pragya Thakur was also arrested in a murder case in Madhya Pradesh by Shivaraj Singh when the BJP government was in power in MP. Later she was arrested for her involvement in the Malegaon blast.”
Former Mayor Mahabala Marla, Neeraj Pal, Iylas Kadaba, Nazir Bajal and Sadashiv Ullal were also present.
