If Kalladka Bhat is arrested Karnataka will Burn – Yeddyurappa

Mangaluru: “After K C Venugopal become the All India Congress Committee In-charge of Karnataka he is creating communal tension in Karnataka and the CM is supporting him. For all the communal disturbances in the District, Minister Ramanath Rai and U T Khader are directly responsible. The Karnataka state will burn if Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat will be arrested or even touched. Let the government give a free hand to police to arrest the accused but filing false cases against the innocent and arresting them will not be tolerated. Without any woman police in the team, raiding the houses of Hindu leaders in the night is condemnable”, said the State BJP President Yeddyurappa in a press meet held at the Circuit House here on July 13.

Addressing the mediapersons Yeddyurappa said, “I need to ask why Sharath’s death was pronounced after 20 hours. When I visited Sharath’s family, his father said that his wish was to donate Sharath’s eyes, but due to late information about the death, we could not fulfil his wish. CM is directly responsible for all this. Even Shobha and Nalin Kumar participated in the funeral of Sharath but the police have filed cases against them.”

Yeddyurappa further said, “In the district, many RSS workers have been assaulted but so far the police did not arrest any of the accused. I want to tell the CM that four innocent youth have been arrested and assaulted by the police. The government has taken the law into their hands. Police officers are good but the government is pressurising the police officers to act according to their order. Those who do not listen to the politicians will be transferred. I would like to advise the police not to take the law into their hands. Do your work with transparency and punish those who are involved in crime, the CM will be in power only for 8 to 9 months. We will come back to power after 9 months. From the past 48 days Section 144 is in force, what is the motive behind the section? KFD and PFI should be banned immediately. All the cases related to the present violence should be handed over to NIA”.

When asked why BJP is not taking part in the Peace meet, Yeddyurappa said, “The party has taken the decision not to take part in Peace meet. We do not trust the government which is protecting the killers. We will not spoil the peace in the district. But if any of the innocent Hindu leaders will be arrested we are ready to fight. We will hold an agitation in Mangaluru gathering up to 4lakh people.”

When asked about the murder of Ashraf who is the member of SDPI, Yeddyurappa said, “Whoever they are, if they are involved in the murder they should be arrested without any discrimination of caste, creed and religion”.

MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MP Shobha Karandlaje, Capt Ganesh Karnik, Yogish Bhat and others were also present.
