If Muslims do Jihad for Islam, We are ready for War to Protect Hinduism – Sharan Pumpwell
Mangaluru: The Vishva Hindu Parishad and Bajrang Dal jointly staged a protest in front of the DC Office here on December 13 against the brutal murder of Paresh Mesta in Honnavar and demanded to hand over the case to the NIA.
Addressing the protesters VHP leader Shivanand Mendon said, “People are protesting from past three days in Honnavar demanding the arrest of the accused in the Paresh Mesta’s brutal murder. The police have arrested the innocent protesters and imposed section 307. Paresh Mesta belonged to the backward Mogaveer community and was the only son to his parents. On December 6, Paresh Mesta had gone missing and his parents had filed a missing person’s complaint in the Honnavar police station. On December 7 his body was found floating in a lake”.
Shivanand Mendon further said, “The government-sponsored post-mortem was done and it was declared that Paresh Mesta died a normal death. We demand for a second post-mortem to be done. We have no trust in the state government because of the anti-Hindu policies adopted by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. We demand that this case be handed over to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). We the citizen’s of this country have the right to protest but in Honnavar while protesting the protesters were assaulted by the police. We appeal to the Governor to handover Paresh Mesta’s murder case to NIA and do justice with the Hindu Society.”
Addressing the protesters Bajrang Dal convener Sharan Pumpwell said, “We all remember December 6, because on that day every year there is bandh, section 144 or untoward incidents taking place. Parents wait their grown-up children to come home after work. On December 6, in Honnavar Karunakar and Rukmini were waiting for their son till 8:00 pm. When their son did not return home after work, they went to the Honnavar police station and filed a missing person’s complaint. On December 7, Paresh Mesta’s body was found in a lake. On December 6, there was a fight between a motorbike rider and a auto rickshaw driver which led to mob violence in Honnavar. The Muslim goons in Honnavar switched off the power and destroyed the market. On December 6 morning Paresh Mesta had parked his bike near Goodluck hotel. In the night when Paresh went to take his bike from where he had parked, he was assaulted and brutally murdered by goons. The government says that the opposition is trying to create communal violence before the elections. But communal violence means violence between two communities, here only the Hindus have been targetted and murdered. In the last four years more than 19 Hindu activists have been murdered. But the Hindu community has not lost its patience.”
Sharan further said, “Jihadi Goons are attacking Hindu Youth and the State government is filing cases against the Hindu youth and sending them to jail. In Karnataka, there is no Congress government but it Mughal rule. In Honnavar Azad Annageri is involved in Paresh Mesta’s murder, he should be arrested. If cow traffickers are killed the government is providing compensation. When Gauri Lankesh was killed, her case was handed over to COD and she was given state honour, but Paresh Mesta’s death was taken lightly by the Home Minister. If the Home Minister has any humanity he should resign. The police have announced Paresh Mesta’s death a natural death, why did they not wait for the post-mortem report. Mangaluru is peaceful but if we do not get justice for Paresh Mesta’s death, we will call for Mangaluru Bandh”.
Sharan also said, “Gandhi said if anyone slaps you on one cheek, show him the other cheek, but Bajrang Dal is not ready for that. If Muslims do jihad for Islam we are also ready for war to protect Hinduism. We know how to protect Hindus. In every murder of the Hindu activist, PFI and SDPI organizations are involved. The Mullas are not raising their voices against the PFI and SDPI organizations. We doubt that the Mullas are also supporting the PFI and SDPI. If the Mullas are not supporting them, then let they demand to ban PFI and SDPI organizations. We will stage protests all over the state. If we will not get justice in the coming days we will gather more than 10000 people and protest,” warned Sharan.
Addressing the gathering District President of VHP Jagadish Shenava said, “In DK whenever there were murders we have protested but today we are staging a protest against the murder of Paresh Mesta in Honnavar. When Gauri Lankesh was murdered, the Communist party staged a protest by holding placards reading “I am Gauri”, and demanded the arrest of the killers. Where is the communist party now to raise their voice against the murder of Paresh Mesta? Whenever there are murders of Hindu activists we take care of their family. When any Hindu activist is arrested we have the responsibility to give him justice. Now Paresh Mesta has been killed, he was the only son of Karunakar and Rukmini, we have to support them financially. Today we will collect some funds to support Paresh Mesta’s family. All kind-hearted people should contribute their mite. We do not trust the state government and the police, we demand that this case is handed over to the NIA”.
