If Nalin Kumar is No 1 MP What about Other 233 MPs? – Harish Kumar
Mangaluru: “In the Pudu Gram Panchayat elections the Congress has won 27 seats out of the 34. The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee has advised all the District leaders to take the Pudu Gram Panchayat elections seriously. Minister U T Khader, Minister Ramanath Rai and many Congress leaders have worked hard to win the elections in Pudu. On February 20 the results were out and the Congress party had a clean sweep of 27 seats. The news was not highlighted since the BJP National President Amit Shah was on tour in the District. The victory will be celebrated on February 24 at Pudu. Ministers Rai and Khader will also take part in the celebrations”, said the District Congress President Harish Kumar in a press meet held at the DCC office here on February 22.
Addressing the mediapersons Harish Kumar said, “Nowadays Rahul Gandhi’s popularity has increased and the Gujarat elections are an example. The BJP leaders are in total confusion because of it. BJP National leader Amit Shah and Modi are afraid of Rahul’s popularity and are touring Karnataka. But soon after the elections in Karnataka Modi and Amit Shah will hide in caves. Modi is talking about Karnataka Government as a Corrupt and Commission government. If Modi has any proof or evidence about the corruption or commission of the Karnataka government, let his government in the centre investigate it and punish the corrupt leaders. When BJP was in power in Karnataka and the ministers were involved in corruption they have been sent them to jail. Let the Modi government do the same if they have any evidence against the Karnataka government. Whoever is levelling charges against the Karnataka government should prove it and not spread rumours”.
Harish Kumar further said, “We have seen, whenever there were murders, BJP leaders like Shobha Karandlaje, C T Ravi and M P Nalin Kumar were saying that the victims were active members of the BJP and were blaming the opposition. But on February 20 when a young college girl was stabbed to death by her own collegemate, Shobha, C T Ravi or Nalin Kumar did not utter a word because the accused is an active member of the ABVP. When their own party workers are involved in crime, the BJP maintains silence. Amit Shah visited the house of Deepak and Paresh Mesta but did not visit the house of innocent Basheer who was killed. The BJP is involved in vote bank politics. Why MP Nalin or Shobha utter a single word or condemning the murder of Akshatha? Why are they silent now?”
When asked about the allegations levelled by MP Nalin Kumar in regard to the recent violence in Kasba Bengre, Harish Kumar said, “MP Nalin did not do any development work in the district. Even the National Highway 66 work is still pending. I do not know how Nalin Kumar become the Number one MP. If Nalin Kumar is the number one MP then what about the other 233 MP’s?” he questioned.
Mayor Kavitha Sanil, Sashidhar Hegde, former Mayor Jacintha Alfred, Prathibha Kulai, Appi, Rauf and others were also present.
