Illegal Sand Miners Pelt Stones at Kundapur Rural Police Station
Kundapur: Miscreants pelted stones at the Kundapur Rural Police Station for seizing a vehicle that was being used for illegal sand extraction on Thursday night.
According to the Sub-Inspector of Kundapur Police Station – Sridhar Naik, the police personnel seized a vehicle registered as KA-20-M8231 on charges of Illegal sand extraction. While the police brought the vehicle to the station, around 18-19 people rounded up the police personnel and objected to their discharge of duty. The accused have also pelted stones at the police station and damaged it.
The accused have been identified as Shaheed Bette Kandlur(30), Zakhir Hussan (32), Shakhir (24), Tabrez (26), Naushad, Karani Museen, Shaeed, Karani Nadeem, Karani Shaheed, Rayan, Bilal, Mansur, Mohammed, Sadakath, Jimmy Jeffri, Abdulla, Fhahad, Nayeem, and Hameedseri.
A case has been registered at Kundapur Police Station.
