Important News on Railways : Take Note!
Mangaluru / Udupi: The railways authorities have made a few announcements which regular commuters can take note of.
1. In view of the heavy rush, a special train will run between Indore and Kochuveli. Train no. 09310 will leave Indore at 9-05 pm on June 7 and reach Kochuveli at 6-30 pm on June 10
Train no. 09309 Suvidha special will leave Kochuveli at 11 am on June 10 and reach Indore at 8-15 am on June 12.
This 16-bogey train will have stops at, among others, Madgaon, Karwar, Udupi, Mangaluru junction, Kasaragod, Kannur and Kozhikode.
2. The Matsyagandha express train between Mangaluru central and Lokmanya Tilak in Mumbai, leaving the city on June 2 has been added with an additional 3-tier AC coach. It is only for a day to relieve the unexpected rush.
3. An extra 2-tier AC coach will be added on a permanent basis to the 12617/12618 Ernakulam-Nizamuddin Mangala Express train. This will take effect on train 12617 on June 19 and 12618 on June 22.
4. In view of the work to be taken up by the Southern Railway between Mangaluru central and Mangaluru junction, the DEMU passenger train Madgaon-Mangaluru will not operate in this segment on June 2 and 3.
The DEMU passenger train 7016 to Madgaon will depart from Junction instead of Central station on these two days.
