In Udupi District Congress and JDS will be a Coalition like Milk and Honey – Pramod Madhwaraj
Udupi: After receiving the B-form from JD(S) Supremo Devegowda the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru Congress-JD(S) coalition candidate and former minister Pramod Madhwaraj, visited the Congress Bhavan for the first time on March 22.
While arriving at the Udupi Congress Bhavan Pramod wore the shawl with the Congress–JDS joint symbols.
After visiting the Congress Bhavan Pramod speaking to media persons said, “I am the candidate of the Congress–JDS coalition partners. As per the seat sharing decision by the two parties, I am contesting as the JD(S) candidate for the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency”.
“As coalition party candidate I have printed both the party symbols on my shawl which no one has introduced earlier, I will wear this shawl till April 18 since people have been asking me which party I belong to now. In Udupi District the Congress and JDS will be the coalition like Milk and honey”, he said.
“I had expressed my desire to contest the Lok Sabha elections this time. As per the seat-sharing discussions for the pre-poll alliance between the coalition partners Congress and JDS, I am contesting as the JDS candidate on behalf of the Congress to the Udupi–Chikkamagaluru Lok Sabha constituency. The people of Udupi should elect a working MP. If I win the elections I will work sincerely for the development of the constituency. After receiving the B form for the first time I have visited the Congress office. I will visit Chikmagaluru district before filing my nomination on March 25,” he said.
