Inciting Messages on WhatsApp Group, two including Admin arrested
Bantwal: Two persons have been arrested for insulting a woman and posting inciting messages on the social media in Bantwal on January 12.
The arrested have been identified as Balakrishna Poojary (48) from Uppinangady and Satish from Ira, Bantwal.
Balakrishna is a KSRTC bus driver by profession and Satish is the group admin. Balakrishna had posted messages on WhatsApp group demeaning the modesty of a woman. He had also shared the messages with other groups.
The Bantwal police said that the arrested had posted inciting messages which may create communal violence and also a demeaning post on a woman.
