Incoming International Passengers Now Need to Adhere to New Rules by District Administration
Mangaluru : In a circular sent by The Dakshina Kannada District Administration effective immediately states that it has made it mandatory for all the international passengers arriving at Mangaluru International Airport to follow the new Rules mentioned below:
– Arriving passengers should have an active Indian local SIM, and if they don’t, they need to ask their family members or relatives to buy an activated local SIM ready prior to their arrival at the Airport.. It should be noted that new SIM cards are also available at the airport.
– Passengers also need to install, register, and active login in respect of the three apps, ‘AAROGYA SETU’, ‘QUARANTINE WATCH’ and ‘APTHAMITHRA’.
-Passengers have to keep their mobile phones and Internet data ON continuously without any break as the administration would be monitoring their home quarantine, collect feedback, and may contact the passengers anytime during the 14 days compulsory home quarantine period.
-Passengers need to follow social distance rules, wear face masks, and sanitize regularly. They also need to cooperate with the officials of the district administration for a FREE COVID-19 (RAT) Test at the airport.
The circular also warns that any person who violates any of the above conditions and rules as well as home quarantine rules would expose them to the likelihood of being punished under section 51(b) of the Disaster Management Act 2005.
