‘Incredible Gift Box’! Ms Apeksha Kottary Enters ‘India Book of Records’ for Creating Longest Gift Box
‘Incredible Gift Box’! Post Graduate Student Ms Apeksha Kottary, doing her M Com at Besant Evening College, Mangaluru Enters ‘India Book of Records’ for Creating Longest Gift Box- an Explosion Box’ designed on the theme ‘Incredible India’!
Mangaluru : It was her childhood passion towards craft; it was her dream to achieve something BIG in life; it was her aim to create something unique and extraordinary- and it was with some motivation from her friend that this post-graduate student Apeksha Kottary, landed her achievement into the ‘India Book of Records’, after she created the longest gift item, an explosion box, designed on the theme ‘Incredible India’. Having done her schooling at Victoria High School-Lady Hill; then her PUC at Sharada PU College-Mangaluru, B Com from Besant evening College, currently she is pursuing her PG in M Com at Besant Evening College, Mangaluru. Apart from this unique creation, she has also made over 35 varieties of unique gift items so far.
Speaking to Team Mangalorean, Apeksha said, ” Since childhood I was really interested in making craft items, where I used to make gift items and craft items for my sister-Amisha, my friends and relatives on their birthdays and anniversaries. Gradually I started watching YouTube videos and learned to make gift boxes and other items. Then one of my friend Chandan Suresh, who also holds similar records, motivated me to take my childhood talent of craft making to greater heights, thus entering me into the India Book of Records. Apart from IBR, I have also entered the Exclusive World Records for making unique explosion gift boxes”.
Describing about this unique box and how she created it, Apeksha said, “The measurement of this box is 25 x 25 cm when closed and when opened, it’s width will be 75 cms and the length around 1,000 cms. The entire box has been designed on the theme ‘Incredible India’. It consists of pictures and information of all the states, Union Territories, great personalities of India and freedom fighters of India. After this, I will also apply for Guinness World Record as well. In creating this box, I had worked around 3-4 hours every night from 11 pm to wee hours of 3 am, for nearly 12 days to complete this Box. This record creating effort is a new category in IBR”.
Apeksha is the daughter of Suresh Kottari, a former NMPT employee and Ms Vidya Kottari, a housewife, who have fully supported and encouraged her in arts making passion. Her craft work represents why India is amazing and Incredible, and with such unique crafts talents, Apeksha Kottari is also in the process of requesting entry to the Asian Record Book. Samples of her craft work on Instagram have obtained numerous orders from Apeksha for the same.
