India beat West Indies in third Test
St Lucia, Aug 14 (IANS) India defeated West Indies by 237 runs in the third Test at the Darren Sammy National Cricket Stadium here on Saturday to take 2-0 lead in the four-match series.
Set a victory target of 346 runs, the West Indies were bundled out for a mere 108 runs in the second innings.
Darren Bravo was the only batsman among the host who put up some resistance with a fighting 59. But he quickly ran out partners and was eventually dismissed by Indian pacer Mohammed Shami which left the West Indies struggling at 95/8.
Shami was the most successful among the Indian bowlers with figures of 3/15. Fellow fast bowler Ishant (2/30) and left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja (2/20) also bowled well.
Earlier on Saturday, the Indians had declared their second innings at 217/7.
