India has to Choose Right, to become a Great Nation again!
Astrology is not about Religion, it is about a wrong understanding of the Universe and of the supposed influence of the planets on human life and human affairs.
If Astrology’s claims to being a Science are exposed, it means we are fighting the Ignorance of this wrong understanding. To mislead the debate they say we are fighting with their religion – but the Vedas have no mention of the Raasis at all! The Raasis come to us from the Babylonians via the invading Greeks.
We can address Astrology’s claims just with the School Science taught as per Govt. syllabus: Astrology considers the Sun as one of the Planets and even gives it a Caste. How can a Star be a planet or have a Caste? The moon which is a satellite is considered a Planet too in Astrology. Traditional Astrology has no idea of planets beyond Saturn because there were no telescopes then!
How can Astrology be right with such little information and so many wrong assumptions? How can Astrology be allowed to dictate our lives, defying common sense?
Look at the levels to which it is seeking to interfere with our daily lives: astrology decides good times and bad times for human financial transactions or for business deals, for inaugurations of buildings and for housewarmings, for marriage times and even for travel!
Earlier we were told ‘do not eat or cook or come out’ during Solar or Lunar Eclipses. Some are scandalously telling us how long our elected leaders will live! And now one astrologer – claiming to be approved by the Govt. of India – goes and cautions us and says DO NOT TALK on 27 January!
How absurd is all this?
There are tens of thousands of them, but why did they not predict the assassinations of our Prime Ministers, or the great Tsunami, or anticipate Demonetisation one of the most important steps taken in recent times? How is it a prediction to say there will be Earthquakes in the next 12 months? Or floods?
Come, Let us embrace the liberation of Science and that of Modern Knowledge, and let us remember that in the past India was a great power when Science was flourishing.
We can make our country great again if we do what Article 51 (A) (h) of the Indian Constitution enjoins us all to do as a Fundamental Duty: Promote Scientific Temper, Social Reform and Humanism!
Come, let us Talk on 27 January 2017 and show the Astrologers that we are not believers of nonsense.
