Indian Catholic Youth Movement Kelarai Unit holds Charity Event
Mangaluru: “We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give,” said Winston Churchill. Keeping this thought in mind the members of Indian Catholic Youth Movement, Kelarai unit under the guidance of the parish priest Fr Joachim Fernandes and ICYM Animator Edwin Vas, made a visit to some of the needy families of the parish on 7 September 2017 and donated some basic necessities.
The members of the unit together bought different items together like grains, spices, oil, soaps, toothpaste etc.
The main aim was to share the happiness of the birth of Blessed Virgin Mary and help the families to celebrate Nativity with Joy. Around 35 youth were present and everyone worked hand in hand for the good cause.
The families were indeed very happy and extended their hearty thanks to the members. The members were very pleased to spend some time with them and share their happiness.
