Antwerp, June 24 (IANS) Following their two consecutive victories in the Hockey World League Semi-Final, Indian midfielder Lalit Upadhyay on Wednesday said they are looking forward to their other upcoming pool A encounters against arch-foes Pakistan and world champions Australia here.

India overcame France 3-2 on Saturday before thumping Poland 3-0 on Tuesday at the Brasschaat Municipal Park. India will face their neighbours Pakistan on Friday and world No.1 Australia on Sunday.

“While we won the first two matches, the next two against Pakistan and Australia are the ones we are looking forward to,” Upadhyay said in a release.

“We have been delivering as a unit and ensuring that we do not give up ball possession easily. Our target from here is to take a clean sweep in the pool phase.”

The Varanasi hockey player praised teammates Devindar Sunil Walmiki, who scored one each against France and Poland in his debut tournament.

“His skills in the D are remarkable and the key is his reaction time. He knows how and where to hit and he does it swiftly. He will have to keep this momentum on in the upcoming matches.”
