Indian Social Forum Extends Helping Hand Yet Again, Helps Mangalorean Return Back Home
Saudi Arabia: Continuing its long run of welfare activities for the expat community, Indian social forum once again helped a stranded Indian reach back home safely.
About three months ago, Indian Social Forum Karnataka State – Riyadh managed to trace a youth who had left a message in the social media seeking help, Indian Social Forum Riyadh handled the case and ensured that the person reaches home safely.
Muhammad Sharif, a resident of Mudipu Balapuni, had arrived in Riyadh last year on a house-driver visa. But the Sponsor (Kafeel) did not have a vehicle permit, Hence Muhammad Sharif was forced to sell items on the roadside.
He was also forced to work 16 hours a day without wages, due to this Sharif was mentally depressed and felt sick, because of the sickness Sharif was not able work and sponsor had filed a “Huroob” missing case against Sharif.
Sharif, being helpless after all these incidents had posted a message on the Social Media. Tracing the message Indian Social Forum succeeded to find Sharif and file a complaint with the labor court, further Indian Social Forum handled the case.
Considering the situation and condition and long-term of the case, Indian Social Forum approached donors and contacted the Indian Embassy, Indian Social Forum also collected all required documents and Provided it to Indian Embassy which was required for the legal purpose and managed to send Mohammed Sharif back home to India. The expat community applauded the continuous service of the Indian Social Forum.
Members of Indian Social Forum Sabith Hasan Bajpe, Rahman Tumbe, Shabir Mudipu and Abdul Sabith Bajpe took charge of the case and handled it successfully. Sharif’s family thanked the members of the Indian Social Forum through the social media.
SDPI District president Athavullah Jokatte, District member Ismail Engineer, Hamid Bajpe, Rahim Batrakere were present to receive Mohammed Sharif at the Mangalore airport.
