Indian Social Forum Riyadh Helps to Send Paralyzed Patient Back Home

Riyadh: Abdul Majeed, a resident of Mallur in Dakshina Kannada district, was admitted to Riyadh’s Al Shumaisi Hospital in a serious condition. A message was circulated in social media, pleading for help. The Indian Social Forum took up this case after understanding and considering the health condition of the patient, the sheer helplessness, and lack of proper documentation. The Indian Social Forum team visited the paralyzed patient (Abdul Majeed) at the hospital, analyzed the situation, and decided to send the patient to his hometown in India for proper rehabilitation and further treatment.

The Indian Social Forum (Riyadh) took up this case as a top priority and a team met the brother of the Saudi sponsor (Kafil). Further, the sponsor responded positively and provided the necessary documents to support this case. Next, the team contacted the Indian Embassy in Saudi Arabia and succeeded in availing a visa as well as an emergency white passport due to continuous efforts. With the help of donors, the flight ticket was booked for Abdul Majeed. He travelled from Dammam to Mangalore and has safely reached Mangalore.

The Indian Social Forum is continuously striving to assist and provide all the necessary help to several non-resident Indians, who have been in trouble in Gulf countries, and it has successfully helped them reach their homes, including people like Abdul Majeed Mallur as well as many others. The Indian Social Forum is a selfless service for the Indian community, and it is held in high regard by non-resident Indians and their families.
