Infant Jesus Shrine Feast at Alangar, Moodbidri
Moodbidri: The Annual Feast of Infant Jesus was celebrated at Alangar Moodbidri. The Solemn Festive Mass was presided over by Rev Dr Aloysius P. D’Souza, Bishop Emeritus, Diocese of Mangalore on 13.01.2018 at 5 pm. Rev Fr Joseph Martis, Rector St Joseph Seminary Mangalore preached on the occasion on the theme of “Devotion of Infant Jesus bring in Holiness in our Lives”.
Many priests, religious, nuns and thousands of faithful, devotees of Infant Jesus despite caste and creed from Moodbidri surroundings and neighbouring places participated. Soon after the Holy Mass festal dinner was the special attraction of the celebration.
In view of Infant Jesus Shrine Feast at Alangar Moodbidri, a day of prayer was conducted on 11.01.2018 Friday by Rev Fr Jesudas D’Costa, Parish Priest, Gantalkatte and Fr Jower Of m cap. Hore Kanike procession, (Carrying food materials for the Festal meal on Sunday 13th Jan 2018) was organised from Alangar Katte to Holy Rosary Church, Alangar. Hundreds of devotees of Infant Jesus despite cast and creed participated in the procession. Fr Jesudas D’Costa received the Hore Kanike and blessed the devotees. Soon after the procession Holy Mass was celebrated to pray for all the intentions of the Devotees.
