Injured Monitor lizard rescued in Perampalli
Udupi: Social activist Nithyananda Volakadu and his team rescued a monitor lizard in Preampalli area on Thursday, September 21.
On Thursday morning Peramaplli resident Manoj Kumar noticed a 3 ft long monitor lizard in Perampalli. He immediately informed social activist Nithyananda Volakadu and Tharanath Mestha about it. Soon the team reached the spot with a cage and rescued the injured monitor lizard which was later handed over to the forest officials.
The forest officials said that the lizard has a minor injury and is also a little weak. We will get it treated and then release it into the forest”.
