Insult to Deyi Baidethi, BJP Holds Padayatra from Mahalingeshwar Temple to Padumale
Puttur: The BJP workers organized a padayatra against the insult to Koti-Chennaya’s mother Deyi Baidethi from Mahalingeshwar Temple to Padumale Deyi Baidethi Vana here on Oct 10.
Prior to the Padayatra, BJP workers held a Puja at the Mahalingeshwar Temple and Brahmashree Guru Narayana Mandir at 8:00 am.
The Padayatra was flagged off by the MP of Dakshina Kannada, Nalin Kumar Kateel along with District President of BJP, Sanjeev Matandoor by breaking the coconut.
BJP workers namely MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, District President of BJP Sanjeev Matandoor, Puttur Mandala President Chanila Thimappa Shetty, Jeevandar Jain, Umanath Kotian, R C Narayan, MLA Sullia Angara, Krishna J Palemar, Ganesh Karnik, Bharati Shetty, Pooja Pai, Satyajith Suratkal, Rukmayya Poojary and others marched in a procession from Mahalingeshwar Temple to Padumale Deyi Baidethi Vana.
During the Padayatra the portraits of Lord Mahalingeshwar and Deyi Baidethi were taken in a procession.
