Insulted by Lecturer, embarrassed B.Com student ends life
Udupi: A first-year-B.com student allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in the forest area near his house on Wednesday, March 4.
The deceased has been identified as Charan Shetty (19) resident of Mairkome, Mandarthi near Brahmavar. He was studying in a college in Hebri, he was a first-year B.com student.
According to sources, Charan allegedly felt insulted by the lecturer during the college day function. Charan had made a video call to his friend before ending his life. In the video call, he told his friend that he was committing suicide because he was insulted by the lecturer.
A case has been registered in the Brahmavar Police Station.
