Interfaith Love Triangle Leads man to commit suicide
Kundapur: A 32-year-old married man committed suicide by hanging himself to the roof of his rented House at Basrur, here on December 19 late night.
The deceased has been identified as Bhasker Acharya (32), a resident of Haregodu Katbeltur.
According to the police, Bhasker was staying with his second wife at Basrur at the time of the incident.
According to Bhasker’s second wife Shabia, they both had dinner together and before going to bed he had asked Shabia his second wife to go to the bathroom. As soon as his wife went to the bathroom Bhasker hanged himself to the roof.
Immediately she screamed for help and also informed Bhasker’s first wife Preetha.
Bhasker was married to Preetha belonging to the Christian community. The couple had a daughter and they were staying in a rented house in Indira Nagar. Later Bhasker was in Live in relationship with Shania, it is alleged. Shania is the wife of a truck driver from Bhatkal. Shabia’s husband came to know about the relationship of his Wife with Bhasker. There was misunderstanding between Shabia and her husband which led Shabia to leave her husband and love with Bhasker. Bhasker and Shabia got married in Dharmasthala Temple Four years ago and they were in good terms.
Interfaith marriage
Bhasker was working as a Sound and Lighting operator at Basrur. Eight years ago he fell in love with Preetha belonging to a different faith. Bhasker’s parents did not accept their relationship, but Bhasker married Preetha against their parents wishes. After marriage, he was staying in his in-law’s house and was often visiting his parents. Later Bhasker rented a house at Bagwadi, Indira Nagar and was residing there with his wife and daughter.
Live-in Relationship
A Lorry driver along with his wife Shabia and son from Bhatkal had rented a house behind Bhasker’s lighting shop. Bhasker befriended Shabia, when Shabia’s husband came to know about his wife’s illicit relationship with Bhasker. There were fights every day between Shabia and her husband. Finally, Shabia left her husband and was living with Bhasker.
Bhasker’s second wedding in Dharmasthala Temple
Four years ago, Bhasker married Shabia in the Temple in Dharmasthala and accepted her as his second wife, but the marriage was not registered. In the beginning, Bhasker’s first wife Preetha and second wife Shabia stayed together for 15 days. Later due to misunderstanding, Bhasker moved to another house with his second wife and was also in constant touch with his first wife.
When Bhasker’s body was taken to the morgue both his wives were crying in grief at the Morgue and at the same time blaming each other for Basker’s death.
A case has been registered under section 174 C IPC.
