International Women’s & World Kidney Day Celebrated at A J Hospital
Mangaluru: To mark the International Women’s & World Kidney Day, A J Hospital & Research Centre organized an “Awareness programme on Women’s Health”, at the Conference Hall, A J Hospital premises on March 8th.
The programme began with an invocation. Ms Nirmala Kumari welcomed the gathering. The programme was inaugurated by the chief guest Dr Chitra Prakash Rao,HOD,Dept. of Anatomy, A J Institute of Medical Sciences by lighting the traditional lamp along with other dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering Dr. Chitra Prakash Rao said, “Men and women should have equal rights. There should not be any gender bias, it is all peoples mindset which needs to be changed. We all need to work on the change so that it can help in women empowerment.
Dr. Manjunath Kamath, Director, Ammembal Women’s Health , Kodialbail, Mangalore delivered a talk on Women’s Health and Dr. Pritham Sharma, Consultant Urologist, A J Hospital & Research Centre delivered a talk on Kidneys & Women’s Health”. A mime show on the International women’s day theme for 2018 “Press for Progress” was presented by MHA students of A.J. Institute of Hospital Management. Mrs. Lidwin D’Souza- Manager Relations delivered the vote of thanks. Mrs. Aarthi, Internal Auditor & Mrs. Supreetha Lobo, Nurse Educator, A J Hospital compered the programme.
