Interstate Gang Arrested by DCIB police in Puttur
Puttur: The DCIB police have arrested five persons in connection with plotting dacoity at Kollaje Kedambady, on April 6.
The arrested have been identified as Pramod Sharma (33), Ankushraj (24), Tuntun Kumar (19), Prance Kumar (19) and Karan Kumar (19) all from Bihar.
On April 5 late night the DCIB police during their rounds at Kollaje bus stand, saw five persons sitting in a suspicious manner near the bus stand. When the police led by DCIB inspector Sunil Y Naik approached them, they all started to speak in Hindi.
During further investigations, the accused revealed that they were plotting to loot rich people in Puttur. The police seized a knife, iron rod, hammer, chilli powder, hand gloves and plaster from their possession
The DCIB police later handed over the accused to the Puttur Rural police station for further investigations.
Under the direction of SP Dr Ravikanthe Gowda, the operation was carried out by the DCIB Police Inspector Sunil Y Naik and Team.
