IT Raid on DK Shivakumar House, Youth Congress Members Pelt Stones at IT office Attavar
Mangaluru: The Youth Congress led by A C Vinayraj staged a protest in front of the Central Revenue office building Attavar on August 2, after a raid on Power Minister D K Shivakumar’s House.
The angered protesters shouted Anti Modi slogans and pelted stones at the IT office. They also burnt tyres and protested in front of the IT office.
Addressing the protesters A C Vinayraj said that the BJP is involved in horse-trading to come to power. By Horse-trading the BJP came to power in Goa and Manipur, now they are trying to do the same in Gujarat. The BJP government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi is playing cheap politics by raiding the houses of Congress leaders. During the raid, the Income tax officers have misused the CRPF staff.”
The Pandeshwar police arrived at the spot and stopped the protesters in causing further damage.

Bengaluru, Aug 2 (Agencies): The Income Tax department on Wednesday raided the Bengaluru and Delhi residences of Karnataka Minister DK Shivakumar. The taxmen also searched his luxury resort near Bengaluru where Congress stashed away it’s 44 legislators from Gujarat to prevent defections before upcoming Rajya Sabha polls, but the I-T department denied that the raid was on the MLAs.
I-T officials have recoved Rs 5 crore cash the minister’s Delhi residence, reported the Press Trust of India.
