IYCM celebrates 70th Jubilee Year in Grandeur
Indian Youth Catholic Movement-Mangaluru celebrated its 70th Jubilee year in grandeur at Olivet House-Jeppu on
Mangaluru: Indian Youth Catholic Movement, Mangalore Diocese inaugurated its 70th Jubilee Year with grandeur on 2nd October 2016 at Olivet House, Jeppu. Mgsr. Denis Moras Prabhu, Vicar General presided the function and inaugurated the Jubilee Year symbolically by unveiling the logo of the Jubilee year. He also said that kindness has no price, so the youth of ICYM should build the society with their kindness without expecting anything from the society. He gave his good wishes for the program.
Fr Ronald Prakash D’Souza- Mangalore Diocese ICYM Director addressed the gathering saying that today Youth need training to be the pillar of service and to be united. He concluded wishing good luck for the Jubilee Year. Stany D’Souza, a young entrepreneur graced the program as Chief Guest and addressed the youth through his beautiful motivating message. Later the meaning of the logo was elaborated by Joel Concessao, PRO of ICYM Mangaluru Diocese.
ICYM President Jackson D’costa welcomed the gathering and Secretary Ancita D’Souza delivered the vote of thanks. Ashwin Sequeira compered the program. Prior to this formal function, a IYCM bike rally flagged off from Rosario Church and culminated at Olivet House, passing through busy roads of the city brought awareness on Road Safety.
