J R Lobo visits Churches, Temples and Mosque Prior to Filing Nomination
Mangaluru: The candidate for the South Constituency for the forthcoming Assembly elections J R Lobo visited various Churches, Temples and Mosque before filing his nomination paper on April 23.
At 6:00 am, JR Lobo attended the mass at St Sebastian Church Bendur and offered prayers for success in the elections.
After the mass, all the faithful gathered outside the church. Parish priest of St Sebastian Church Fr Antony blessed J R Lobo and said, “The Assembly elections are nearing and we need an able leader to bring religious and social harmony in the society. When J R Lobo was the MLA he worked hard for the development of his constituency. J R Lobo is a humble leader, we need such leaders to lead our country. Let all pray for his success.
Fr Antony also said, “In the past five years we have seen the development work done by J R Lobo. Through his work, he has won the hearts of the people. Today Lobo is filing his nomination for the forthcoming elections. Our prayers are with him, let the Almighty Lord Bless him and lead him to victory”.
J R Lobo said, “My intention was to start this work from my parish. In my five years of tenure, you all have supported me. In this present scenario, we need social security. Today I have taken this responsibility. When a person is not at home, he will not get support. But my parishioners have supported me a lot and I am grateful to all of you.”
All the parishioners wished Lobo the very best in the elections.
After the mass at St Sebastian Church Lobo proceeded to Kadri Sri Manjunath Temple. Lobo offered prayers and received Prasadam. At the same time Kaup Candidate Vinay Kumar Sorake was on his visit to the Kadri Temple. Both Lobo and Vinay Kumar Sorake wished each other success.
Lobo later proceeded to Infant Jesus Shrine, Bikkarnakatta. Superior of Infant Jesus Shrine Fr Wilfred Rodrigues led the prayers. Later a statue of Blessed Infant Jesus was handed over to J R Lobo by Fr Wilfred Rodrigues.
From Bikkarnakatta Lobo proceeded to the Mangaladevi Temple and offered prayers. Religious priest of the temple prayed for Lobo’s success and honoured him with Shawl and Prasadam.
Think about aetheist voters like Nayak maam who do not bother about Kadri Manjunatha or Maadri Kanjunatha. Talk about improvements Sir. How will you solve the water problem in Mangalore? Visiting Churches, Temples and Mosques, and joining the flock of different faiths is truly a good symbol of Evangelism for the election candidates to display their faith in God, and also enable them to join various other faiths and place their positive hope in God.
