Jamwa to Hold Family Gathering ‘Gammatt 2016’ on April 28
Jubail: Jokatte Area Muslim Welfare Association (JAMWA) Suadi Arabia has planned to organize an event of Family Gathering named “Gammatt 2016” scheduled to take place on April 28, at Petro Kemya Beach Camp, Jubail Industrial City. The main objective of the event is to promote a noble cause titled “Let’s Join Together For Community Welfare”.
The President of Jamwa Dammam and Jubail Committee Abdul Rahman Ahmed stated that “Jokatte Area Muslim Welfare Association (JAMWA) was established in Riyadh in 2004, under the leadership of a few like-minded youths hailing from Jokatte, aiming to bring the gulf based expatriates of Jokatte & Surrounding community under one umbrella and to extend helping hands to the less fortunate, destitute and downtrodden families of Jokatte and its proximity, fulfilling their educational and medical needs , meet the marriage related expenses of orphan girls and who do suffer out of extreme pangs of poverty throughout the community”.
Targeting the upliftment of the community, In 2012 JAMWA have contributed a valuable amount through its first “GAMMATT” family gathering to purchase a full pledged land for the purpose of higher Education under Anjuman Educational Institution Jokatte. However the cost incurred is becoming too expensive that, after analyzing and making an accurate study of the society we came to a conclusion that establishing a well-furnished community hall as an income source, will serve our purpose of affording a considerable portion to educate, empowerment, economic development and to betterment of the entire downtrodden community of the Jokatte and its surroundings.
Presently JMWA has about 400 members hail from Riyadh, Dammam, Jubail and Jeddah and other cities of Saudi Arabia actively participating in the social cause. The core activities of the Association is briefly figured below :
• Disbursement of Scholarship of Rs. 1,50,000 in a year from 8th to 12th std. students.
• The contribution of Rs. 50,000 for the marriage of poor and orphan girls, contributing presently a total amount of 5 lakh Rupees in a year for 10 families.
• Distribution of monthly ration worth Rs. 1000 / family to a minimum of 20 families.
• Distribution of Ramadan Kit for approximately 200 families in a year.

Upcoming Plans:
• Establishing a well-furnished Community Hall as an income source for the betterment of the Jokatte Community and its surroundings.
