Jansamparka drives to be launched in Udupi from December 1 – Pramod Madhwaraj

Udupi: The Jansamparka drive will be effectively launched in the Udupi constituency from December 1 said Minister for Fisheries, Sports and Youth Affairs Pramod Madhwaraj. The government officials together with the people’s representatives will spend a day in villages and the CMC wards and address the issues of the people.

He was speaking after inaugurating projects worth Rs 12.66 crore in the Udupi constituency.

Developing villages is conclusive development, villages should be developed at par with the development initiated in the cities. The third phase of Namma Grama Namma Raste has covered 7 roads with the construction cost of rupees 17.65 crores. The fourth phase of Namma Grama Namma Raste will cover 11 roads and 3 bridges covering 20.97 km with the construction cost of rupees 21 crores.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has effectively responded to the proposal of Horlali-Muddumane Bridge, and all efforts will be made to speed up the approval process.

The Congress led government in the state has effectively contributed to the development of roads and bridges in Udupi constituency by funding Rs 700 crores. The BPL cards are issued to eligible beneficiaries and free rice under Annabhagya scheme is provided. De-notice to the applications under 94C will be provided in one month. Akrama Sakrama Samithi is holding meetings to provide title deeds and saguvali chits. The villagers felicitated Pramod Madhwaraj for the speedy construction of the road. Dr Sunitha Shetty, TP member was also felicitated for receiving the Kannada Rajyothsava Award – 2016.

ZP Member Sudhakar Shetty, Brahmavar Block Congress President Nithyanand Shetty, Raju Master, Devaki, Ashok Kumar Shetty, Assistant Engineer Trineshwar, Assitant Executive Engineer Vijayendra Nayak, Executive Engineer Satish and others were present.
