Javadekar attacks Rahul for criticising govt amid pandemic
New Delhi: After Congress leader Rahul Gandhi taunted the Modi government over the much-hyped ‘Atmanirbhar’ programme and called out the ‘misplaced priorities’, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar hit back in his own characteristic style citing Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party’s ‘achievements’ in the last six months.
Taunting Rahul Gandhi, Javadekar wrote on Twitter, “Note your achievements in the last six months: February: Shaheen Bagh and Riots; March: Losing Jyotiraditya and MP; April: Instigating migrant labourers; May: 6th anniversary of the historic defeat of the Congress; June: Defending China; July: Congress on virtual collapse in Rajasthan.”
In another tweet Javadekar said, “Rahul Baba, note India’s achievements in “war against #Corona”. India has the least average cases, active cases and death rate than the US, Europe and Brazil. By making fun of candle lights, @RahulGandhi ji you have insulted the people of India & brave Corona warriors.”
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had tweeted: “Achievements of government during the Covid-19 period: In February, Namaste Trump (US President Donald Trump’s visit to India); in March, Madhya Pradesh government toppled; in April, lighting candles; in May, sixth anniversary of the government; in June, virtual rally in Bihar and in July attempt to topple the Rajasthan government.”
