JD(S) Candidates Nikhil and Prajwal Congress Supporters, Their Win is Congress Win – Khader
Mangaluru: “The election commission has announced the date for the Lok Sabha polls and the election code of conduct is in force. We the Coalition government has agreed to contest the Lok Sabha elections in all the 28 constituencies out of which JD(S) will contest in 8 and the Congress in 20 constituencies. After the party high command discussed with the JD(S) Chief Deve Gowda the decision of the Congress party contesting in 20 constituencies was made. Nikhil Gowda and Prajwal are JD(S) candidates contesting from Mandya and Hassan and the Congress party will support them. Their win is Congress win”, said the district minister in-charge U T Khader in a press meet held at the Congress Bhavan, Mallikatta here on March 17.
Addressing the mediapersons Khader said, “Nikhil and Prajwal are Congress supporters. Before distributing the seats, the high command, AICC General Secretaries, national leaders and senior leaders have discussed the winning strategy. They have also discussed how to strengthen the party and how to solve the problems if any. We have complete trust in our national leaders. All the Congress leaders will work for the victory of JD(S) candidates in Hassan and Mandya by campaigning for Nikhil and Prajwal. In the coalition government, we are all one, our aim is to work together and win the elections so that Rahul Gandhi will be the next prime minister”.
