Jeddah: IFF western region council Siratunnabi campaign concludes

Jeddah: On the occasion of Rabi-ul-Avval which is an important month in the Islamic calendar, a campaign was conducted by the Indian Fraternity Forum throughout the gulf countries in order to educate the public about the life and the message of Prophet Mohammad (SWS). The concluding ceremony of the campaign was conducted by IFF western region on February 12th at the community center near Mahatta Raheli in Jeddah.

In the mega event there were several types of cultural competitions for men, women and children. Competitions for women were held separately. Attractive prizes were given to the winners. There was qirat, Islamic song and quiz competitions. Beautiful Daff programme was conducted by Students Fraternity Forum which is the Students branch of IFF. Kolata which is a type of folk dance was performed by IFF Kerala division entertaining the gathering.

Abdul Majeed Vittla (IFF western region president, Karnataka) presided over the stage function, Abdul Hannan (General Secretary SDPI, Karnataka) and Haneef Khan Kodaje (State vice president SDPI Karnataka) briefly addressed the gathering about the Life and Message of Prophet Mohammad (SWS). Abdul Majeed Vittla (IFF western region president, Karnataka) threw light on the several social activities being conducted by IFF and urged the gathering to join hands for the same. The campaign which was run throughout the western region conducted programmes in places such as Madina, Makka, Taif, Abha, and Tabuk. Curtains came down on campaign in Jeddah with a grand programme attended by a huge gathering from in and around Jeddah. Haneef Aris Jeddah, Saleem Guruvankere, Tufail Jeddah, Ubaidullah Makkah, Haneef Khan Kodaje, Abdul Hannan and several other dignitaries were present on the stage. Saleem Guruvankere presentated the report on developmental activities conducted by Rihab India Foundation.

Mohammad Arif welcomed the gathering; Aris Goodinabali delivered the vote of thanks.
