Winning 150 Seats in Coming Assembly Elections our Goal – JP Hegde

Udupi: “Winning 150 seats in the coming assembly elections is our goal”, said the Former MP and BJP leader Jayaprakash Hegde. He was speaking at the BJP office Udupi after his induction to the party here on March 14.

Hegde further said, “BJP is not new to me, when I was in JH Patel’s cabinet I have the experience of working with Dr V S Acharya. V S Acharya supported my move to create the Udupi district. The district has witnessed effective development after its inception. V S Acharya has played an effective role in promoting the district towards development”.

Hegde also said, “The decision to join the BJP was taken after discussing with  my supporters.  After I was expelled from the Congress party, I went back to my constituency and spoke to the workers and voters. The majority of them suggested that I should go to the BJP.  After holding talks with the BJP leaders, I decided to join the party. BJP is not new to me; there are many people who are known to me in the party. I will work together with the party members and lead the party towards victory in the coming assembly polls.

Many have joined the BJP witnessing the change. Whichever party I have worked for, I have dedicated myself 100 percent and worked sincerely. I was aggressive wherever illegal activities occurred. I will not support any illegal activities. I will also work together with the party members of Chikkamangluru and work towards the success of the party. I have many of my supporters in Chikkamangluru who will be inducted to the party. Many of my supporters will join BJP on March 25, he added.
