KACES Celebrates 70th I-Day with Zeal
Mangaluru: The 70th independence day was celebrated at the KACES, campus Balmatta here on August 15.
Violet Pereira (Proprietor and Editor-In-Chief www.mangalorean.com) hoisted the Tricolour flag at 8.00 am at the KACES hostel premises.
Addressing the gathering Violet stressed on the true meaning of patriotism. She said, “Patriotism is not about wearing batches, flag hoisting and singing the National Anthem. Patriotism is to help the citizens who are in need. It is the duty of every individual to work for the betterment of the society and the country”.
Violet further said that nowadays youngsters live in a mobile world, we do not get time to sit and talk to our parents. Youngsters facing any problems should share them with their parents because parents are their best friends on earth who always wish the best for them. Youth who are unable to share their problems end up in tragedy which can be avoided by being true to their parents. Youth are the future of our country and to make our country strong youth should be educated. Education is the best gift parents give to their children. So give attention to your studies. Along with education, youth should involve in social activities, students should play a vital role in understanding the needs of the society. Through your deeds be the role models in the society and make your parents and society proud.
Rev Dr Hannibal Cabral (Principal KTC & Secretary, KACES ) presided over the programme. Rev Immanuel Punith, KTC students , KACES hostel inmates, were also present during the flag hoisting ceremony.
