KaDaM Felicitates ‘Intl Aryabhata 2017’ Awardee Dinesh Devadiga
Dubai: The Kundapura Devadiga Mitra (KaDaM) organized a felicitation programme at Hotel Fortune Plaza Dubai recently.
President of KaDaM Dinesh Devadiga was awarded the International Aryabhata 2017 in Bengaluru for his relentless service to the society. The KaDaM organization felicitated Dinesh Devadiga for receiving the award.
Dinesh Devadiga has been relentlessly serving the society by providing education for the less fortunate children, medical help to the poor and the marginalized, books and scholarships to students. He has dedicated his life to serving the poor and the needy.
The felicitation programme began with an invocation by KaDaM members. Narayan Devadiga Badakere welcomed the gathering and introduced Dinesh Devadiga. Narayan recalled the college days of Dinesh as a leader of the students union and his humility and simplicity to associate with people was liked by students and the teachers alike. He equally lauded the contribution and support provided by Vishala Dinesh Devadiga on the success of her husband and also for actively participating in all of KaDaM’s activities and for the support she has extended from the beginning.
Asha Devadiga and Sridhar Brahmavar together hosted the programme in a unique way. Suresh Devadiga along with the members of KaDaM felicitated Dinesh with a shawl, garland, flower bouquet, citation, fruit basket and memento. Shashirekha Shrikant read out the citation. It was a proud moment for all KaDaM members as their president was recognized with the prestigious social service award.
Responding to the felicitation, Dinesh Devadiga thanked KaDaM members for felicitating him and said that the contribution of each member was also very much important since it encouraged him to get involved more into social service.
Manoj Devadiga, Ravi Devadiga, Suresh Devadiga, Shodhan Prasad and Santhosh Sherigar spoke about Dinesh, his selfless service to the society and his dedication towards the upliftment of mankind through his work and selfless service.
Throughout the programme, many spot games were conducted. The audience actively participated and received prizes. Antakshari was organized for the couples. In the end, all the couples danced to the famous Hindi song by Shodhan Prasad. Manjunath Devadiga delivered the vote of thanks.
