Kalladka Bhat is RSS Leader and Not Hindu Leader – Mithun Rai

Mangaluru: “The video of the conversation between the District Minister In-charge and the SP has gone viral and we know that Rai has been criticised by the opposition. Whatever Minister Ramanath Rai spoke with the SP is 100 percent true. When Rai was discussing with the SP, he had advised the SP to take action against Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat for his inciting speeches, and never said to take action against Bhat in Kalladka issue. Rai is an able and secular leader and has won the hearts of people from all walks of life. Rai has won the elections from Bantwal seven times. Rai does not play politics of religion for the vote bank. Rai is against all the Communal forces and always says that, If the minority becomes communal it is a loss for that community, but if the Majority becomes communalist it is a loss for the Nation. There is a saying, “More work more enemies, less work less enemies and no work no enemies”. Rai has the capacity to face such communal enemies”, said the President of District Youth Congress Mithun Rai in a press meet held at the DCC office, Mallikatta here on June 21.

Addressing the gathering Mithun said, “During the interview in local channels Prabhakar Bhat said that he does not know who is Mithun Poojary and also said who is Ramanath Rai to enquire about Mithun Poojary. In the state Channels Bhat says, you should ask about him in Kalladka with the Muslims. Prabhakar Bhat is an RSS leader but the BJP is saying he is a Hindu leader. A Hindu leader loves other religions too and never criticises. If you go to Youtube and type Prabhakar Bhat you will get his videos where he insults people of other religions. During an interview in a local Channel Prabhakar Bhat compares himself to Swami Vivekananda. But Swami Vivekanand had given importance to harmony and unity. We strongly condemn Prabhakar Bhat comparing himself to Swami Vivekananda.”

Mithun further said, “After the Video went viral the opposition started to stage protests but when Vinayak Baliga was killed where were these people. When Harish Poojary was killed why did they not raise their voice? In Karthik Raj murder MP Nalin Kumar Kateel spoke of setting the district on fire. In Harish Poojary murder Ramanath Rai was criticised. But when they came to know that Harish Poojary was killed by Bhuvith and Mithun Poojary why did they remain silent? In a sting operation Jagadish Shenava, Capt Ganesh Karnik said that they are ready to kill anyone to retain the BJP. For vote bank, the BJP is ready to stoop to any level. The Renukacharya, Raghupati Bhat video etc has shown how they respect women”.

Mithun also said, “When the election is nearing BJP and RSS are trying to create communal violence in the district. In Kalladka communal tensions are purposely being created, Within just 8 days of coming out from jail, Mithun stabbed a 17-year-old youth. If Mithun is innocent let him surrender to the police, why is he absconding? The police have taken many persons into custody for investigation and released those found innocent. If Prabhakar Bhat does not have any connection with Mithun let him call a press meet and openly tell that Mithun is not connected to him. Prabhakar Bhat is trying to create communal violence and innocent youth are going to jail. When Prabhakar Bhat delivers inciting speeches they lead to communal tensions. A youth, Anjaneya from Mandya says that if Ramanath Rai speaks again he will not be safe. We do not know in which religion this Anjaneya is born. We the youth of Congress are ready to welcome the Mandya youth. We will lodge a private complaint in all the police stations in DK against him. BJP is trying hard to create communal violence in the district. The Congress is not involved in religious or caste politics but the BJP is using Hindu Dharma for vote bank.”

District Youth Congress leaders Praveenchandra Alva, Rouf Bajal, Santhosh Shetty, Girish Alva, Prasad Malli, Prashanth Kulal, Kiran and Roopesh Shetty were also present.
