Kannada actor Dhruva Sharma passes away
Bengaluru, (DHNS): Kannada actor Dhruva Sharma, who came to fame with his spectacular performance in Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) series, died at a private hospital in Bengaluru today. He was a speech and hearing impaired actor, and reportedly died due to multiple organ failure.
Dhruva Sharma had played lead roles in movies like Snehanjali, Bangalore 560023, Ninandre Ishta Kano, Tippajji Circle and Hit List.
Actor, CCL player Dhruv ends life by consuming poison
Bengaluru, (DHNS): A 37-year-old actor, who was also a player in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), died in a private hospital in the early hours of Tuesday. He had consumed poison Saturday last and failed to respond to treatment.
Dhruv Sharma, the actor, died of multi-organ failure at the Columbia Asia Hospital in Hebbal. His body was shifted to M S Ramaiah Hospital for post mortem. Dhruv consumed some tablets in a bid to end his life at his house in Rajanukunte and was rushed to the hospital.
The actor’s father Suresh Sharma has lodged a complaint with the Rajanukunte police, saying his son took the extreme step due to work pressure and financial constraints, police said. He is survived by his parents, wife and two daughters. Dhruv was partially hard of hearing and speech-impaired.
According to police, Dhruv suffered losses in an unsuccessful business and was depressed.
Dhruv shot to fame with his commendable performance in the Celebrity Cricket League series. He was a player of the Karnataka Bulldozers team, which won the championship twice under the captaincy of actor Sudeep. Dhruv was known for his films like Snehanjali, Bangalore 560023, Ninandre Ishta Kano, Tippajji Circle and The Hit List.
Dhruv received his first breakthrough in 2006 with his performance in Snehanjali, which entered the Limca Book of Records for featuring a speech and hearing-impaired person in the lead role. He also played for India in the Deaf Cricket World Cup in 2005. Sandalwood actors and fans took to social media to express their condolence. Bollywood stars Ritiesh Deshmukh and Aftab Shivdasani too mourned the loss.
