Kargil War an Inspiration for Youth to join the Army – Vilas Nayak

Udupi: “Operation Vijay had succeeded to show the capacity of each soldier in the Kargil war. The Kargil War is an inspiration for the youth to join the army” said Vilas Nayak managing director of Hanuman group of concerns and also the district president of Vishwa Hindu Parishat.

He was speaking after offering floral tributes to pay homage to martyrs of the Kargil war at the War memorial Ajjarkad, Udupi on Thursday, July 26.

The Kargil Vijay Divas Programme jointly organised by the Swach Bharath Friends, Lions Club Santhekatte and Spandana Service organisation Bengaluru.

“Every day, we need to remember the proud warriors who are guarding the borders of our country facing challenging and most horrible conditions. Kargil victory is one of the historic moments for India. Our soldiers fought against the enemies and won the battle. It shows the strength of our army and their commitment and dedication towards the nation.”

“The peaceful atmosphere of in our nation is now spoiled due to the presence of a few anti-national elements. The Kargil Vijay Divas is a tough reply to all these forces. Our army is one of the strongest forces in the world and we are their supporters,” he said.

Indian Airforce Ex-servicemen P Dinesh Nayak, CMC Councilor Shyam Prasad Kudva, Social Activist Vishu Shetty Ambalpadi also spoke on the occasion.

Ex-Servicemen K Ganesh Rao was felicitated on the occasion. Lions Club Santhekatte Secretary Sandeep Nayak, Hariprasad, Balakrishna Shetty, Chethana Shenoy, Ranjith Shetty, Tharanath, Nagaraj Bhandarkar, Joythi Shet, Prasanna Kumar were present.
