Karkala Police arrest accused in Florine Machado Murder Case
Karkala: The Karkala police have succeeded in arresting the accused in the murder of the lone woman living at Kerthadi in Ayyappa Nagar, Kukkandoor village.
The arrested has been identified as Mohammed Riyaz (33) a native of Hosmar. Presently residing at Ullal Mangaluru.
The police team led by Karkala CPI Joy Antony arrested the accused in Mumbai while he was returning after visiting the Ajmer Darga.
The deceased Florine Machado (54), wife of Antony D’Souza was brutally murdered on July 8. The couple were said to be in no good terms and were living separately for the last three years.
Florine was running a gym training centre near the bus stand. It is said that she had a difference of opinion with her business partner.
The incident came to light when her relatives arrived at her house on Sunday. The door was found open and Florine was lying in a pool of blood on the floor. She had been stabbed to death.
The couple has two sons aged 20 and 16 years old but were not staying with her.
The police said that Financial conflict between Riyaz and Florine is the main cause for the Murder.
