Karnataka CM moves into official residence on birthday
Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa moved into his official residence Cauvery on Thursday, which also happens to be his birthday.
“Birthday greetings to Karnataka’s hardworking chief minister @BSYBJP Ji. He is passionately working for the state’s progress, especially on farmer welfare and rural development. I pray for his long life and good health,” tweeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Replying to Modi, Yediyurappa thanked him and said he will continue to strive for Karnataka’s welfare and development.
“As I enter a new year of my life tomorrow, I am indebted to all the love and support that I have received from all of you at every stage of my life. Whatever I have achieved today is a result of the blessings and faith that the people of my state have showered, and that is all I seek from all of you,” said the Chief Minister.
Moving into the new address, Yediyurappa performed a puja accompanied by family members and priests.
Born on February 27, 1943, Yediyurappa turned 77 on Thursday.
Until recently, Yediyurappa’s family members were visiting the house to check on the refurbishments and other arrangements.
He will shift to his new residence from the Dollars Colony house in Sanjay Nagar.
