Karnataka Elections contested between Gandhi and Godse Ideology – B K Hariprasad

Mangaluru: “The Assembly elections being held on May 12 will be very interesting in Karnataka. This election is not based on development or progress of the state but is based on two national ideologies they are the Mahatma Gandhi ideology which the Congress follows and the Godse ideology followed by the BJP. Five years ago people voted for the Congress and brought it to power. In five years of our tenure whatever promises we had made have been fulfilled. But in 2014 when the BJP government led by Modi came to power in the Centre, it failed to fulfill the promises made even after completing four years. The Modi government had assured of Ache Din, safety for women and children, saving the constitution, punishing the corrupt etc but Modi has not implemented what he had promised and proved to be a lier”, said the AICC General Secretary and MP, B K Hariprasad in a press meet held at the DCC office Mallikatta here on April 30.

Addressing the mediapersons Hariprasad said, “BJP is talking about the collapse of the law and order situation in Karnataka. But we need to think about the law and order situation in BJP ruled states. In 70 years in Karnataka we have not witnessed 100 fake encounters, but after Yogi Adityanath become the CM of Uttar Pradesh, within a year 1000 fake encounters have taken place. BJP wants to win the elections in Karnataka by hook or crook because if they win in Karnataka the party will strengthen nationwide and it will be easier for them to change the constitution. Already more than 50,000 RSS workers are working in Karnataka and spreading lies. The people of Karnataka should be careful while casting their votes, they should think of electing leaders who can work for peace and unity in the society.”

B K Hariprasad further said, “National leader Amit Shah was talking about the murders of Hindu activists in Karnataka. Amit Shah had said that in Karnataka especially in Coastal Karnataka 23 Hindu activists were killed and gave various reasons. If Gandhians or Anna Hazare would have said this we would have believed it. When Amit Shah was the Home Minister, Haren Pandya was murdered in his own car and till date, they have not arrested the culprit. At the same time, Tulsiram Prajapati a marble businessman from Rajasthan was killed in a fake encounter. In this case, the supreme court ordered to extern Amit Shah from Gujrat for 2 years. Now he is coming to Dakshina Kannada and speaking about the murder of 23 Hindu activists. The reality is that the 14 Hindu activists were killed because of the internal fight in the Sangh Parivar and not by Taliban. Let Amit Shah clarify on the fake encounters of Sohrabuddin, Tulsiram Prajapati and Ishrat Jahan. BJP has no trust in social justice and they have proved that the backward classes do not have the right to contest from their party. After Modi came to power small children and girls have been raped and killed but Modi has not uttered a single word. A woman in London advised Modi to provide safety and security for women in India.”

DCC President Harish Kumar, Naveen D’Souza, Purushotham Chitrapur and others were also present.
