Kasaragod: Two young lives were lost in a ghastly road mishap at Kunjattur around 2-30 pm on Tuesday.
Shihab (19) and Sinan (18) were to celebrate the Eid festival with their families before the weekend. Fate played its cruel role as they went to see the spot of an earlier mishap in which a jeep and a school bus had collided near the Udyavar school and were returning home.

As the reached the old transport office at Toominad in Kunjattur, a bus plying from Kasaragod to Talapadi knocked them. As they lay on the road a speeding lorry ran them over. They are said to have died on the spot.
Shihab, son of Mohammed Kunhi of Kuchikad in Kunjattur, who was riding the scooter, was a BBM student at Badria College in Mangaluru. Mohammed Kunhi works abroad.
Sinan, son of Razaq of tenth mile in Udyavar, was a PU student at Milagres High School in Mangaluru. He was unsuccessful in the examination and was preparing for the supplementaries.
The enraged public heavily damaged the bus that caused the mishap. However, the driver of the lorry did not stop after running over the duo.
Their bodies were taken to the Kasaragod general hospital. The Manjeshwar police are investigating the matter.
