Kasaragod: Chaitra (26), daughter of Narayana, proprietor of Chaitra Enterprises from Baradka near Badiadka, died in a road mishap that took place in Rajasthan on Monday, May 18 evening.
She had been given in marriage to a Bengaluru-based engineer, Balachandran, five years ago and they have a daughter, Diya. They live in Peenya in Bengaluru. Balachandran had stayed back because of commitments.
They have a Rajasthani family living next door in Bengaluru. To attend a function in their family, Chaitra, Diya and five others had travelled by train to Rajasthan.
After reaching there, they were travelling in a car, which collided with a truck at Bilwara. Chaitra, another woman and her son from Bengaluru died in the mishap. The details of the other two are not available. Diya escaped with minor injuries.
On getting the news, Chaitra’s family members have rushed to Rajasthan. Arrangements are being made to bring her mortal remains to Bengaluru for final rites, possibly on Wednesday.
