Los Angeles, May 17 (IANS) Actress Kate Hudson was spotted hanging out with Eric Stonestreet and Billy Crudup — her co-stars of “Almost Famous”, which released 15 years ago.

Hudson reunited with Stonestreet and Crudup and shared a photograph of the trio on Saturday, reports people.com.

“Impromptu Almost Famous reunion @ericstonestreet ‘Your mom called….she freaked me out’,” Hudson wrote, quoting one of Stonestreet’s lines from the film.

“And then there’s that other guy far left… #AlmostFamousLove.”

The Golden Globe and Grammy-winning film, set in 1973, follows a high school boy (played by Patrick Fugit) chosen to write a story for Rolling Stone that requires him touring with an up-and-coming rock band.

Hudson played Penny Lane, while Crudup essayed the role of band’s guitarist and Lane’s love interest, Russell Hammond. Stonestreet, now famous as Cameron on Modern Family, was just an unknown when he landed the small role of “Sheldon the Desk Clerk” at a hotel.
