Kateel Asranna House Dacoity Case, Sixth Accused held
Mangaluru: Sixth accused in the dacoity case of Kateel Vasudeva Asranna’s house was arrested by the CCB police on October 23.
The arrested has been identified as Chandrahas (30), a resident of Nekkila House, Puttur.
Chandrahas was the driver of the Innova Car bearing registration number KA 19 MA 3501, which was used during the crime.
On October 4, 8 persons entered Asranna’s house with weapons and decamped with 80 sovereigns of gold and cash. On October 17, the CCB police led by Inspector Sunil Naik and Bajpe Inspector Nagaraj arrested 5 of the accused and another three of the accused were on the run.
On October 23, CCB police led by Sunil Naik, Sub-inspector Shyam Sundar and team arrested the Innova car driver Chandrahas.
Chandrahas has been handed over to the Bajpe police for further investigation. So far the police have arrested six persons another two are at large. They will be arrested soon.
