Los Angeles, June 29 (IANS) Actress Katie Holmes says she is most relaxed when absorbed in a novel.

“I don’t take my work home with me. We’re just playing characters so I do my work and then I go home and live my life. I love reading books, which makes me feel very peaceful and happy. A room full of books is one of the most peaceful places to be,” the 36-year-old actress, who has nine-year-old Suri with ex-husband Tom Cruise, was quoted as saying by femalefirst.co.uk.

Holmes has been shooting US crime drama “Ray Donovan” and struggled with the character because of a mouthpiece she had to wear.

“I have a role in the new season of ‘Ray Donovan’, playing the daughter of a very wealthy family who is sort of a femme fatale. She wears braces on her teeth, which I’m always messing up with because they’re always falling out,” she added.
