Kavya Suicide Case, Special Investigation Team Receives Post-mortem report
Mangaluru: The special investigation team has received the post-mortem report of National-level Badminton player Kavya Poojary.
Investigation officer ACP Rajendra D S and his team received the post-mortem report which has indicated that Kavya had committed suicide. The investigation is still in progress.
On July 20, Kavya (15) daughter of Lokesh and Baby Poojary of Devagudde, Kateel committed suicide in her Hostel room at Alva’s Education Foundation. Kavya was studying in 10th standard and had joined Alva’s under the sports quota.
After the suicide, Kavya’s parents were suspicious of the circumstances Kavya had committed suicide, many organizations have demanded a CBI investigation. Kavya’s parents had submitted a memorandum to the Police commissioner for a special probe in Kavya’s suicide case. According to their request, the Police Commissioner had ordered a special probe and appointed ACP Rajendra as the Investigation officer.
The investigation team led by ACP Rajendra are camped in Moodbidri since July 29, and the investigation is on.
