KCO Pearl Jubilee celebrations begin with Thanksgiving Eucharist at St. Joseph’s Cathedral Abu Dhabi

KCO Pearl Jubilee celebrations begin with Thanksgiving Eucharist at St. Joseph’s Cathedral Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi: KCO began the opening of its Pearl Jubilee celebrations with a Thanksgiving Eucharistic celebration on 15th February 2025 at 5.30 pm here at St. Joseph’s Cathedral, Abu Dhabi. Rev Fr. Maxim Cardoza, OFM. Cap, Parish Priest of St. Paul’s Church, being main celebrant and concelebrated by Rev Fr. DarickD’Souza, OFM. Cap, Secretary to Bishop H.E. Paulo Martnelliand Rev Fr. Marian Miranda, OFM. Cap, Asst Parish Priest of St. Josephs’ Cathedral and Spiritual Director of SJKC, Abu Dhabi.

The liturgy was beautifully enhanced by eloquent liturgical readers and the melodious voices of the St. Joseph’s choir, creating an atmosphere of divinity and reflection.

Rev. Fr. Darick, in his homily, explained the meaning of “Blessed are you poor, for yours is the kingdom of God” (Luke 6:20) stating “poor is the one who is completely dependent on God and attain the kingdom of God in his life”.

The Thanksgiving Mass witnessed the presence of Catholic Konkani community, being a convergence of faith, gratitude, and celebration, encapsulating the spirit of the upcoming jubileeyear.

Following the Mass, snacks were distributed, bringing togetherthe Konkani community of Abu Dhabi parish.

The upcoming year marks an important year for the KCO members as they gather to celebrate the Pearl Jubilee with a lineup of some events, beneficial to the Konani community of Abu Dhabi and Mangalore, with the motto: Preserving Culture. Improving Lives.
